DENVER (AP) — William Contreras and Brice Turang each had three hits, Christian Yelich hit his ninth home run of the season and Colin Rea threw seven shutout innings to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 3-0 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday night.

The Brewers’ win was their eighth in their last 10 games and extended their lead over the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Central Division to seven games.

Rea surrendered six hits, struck out four and walked none, earning his fourth win in his last five starts.

Yelich had two extra-base hits for Milwaukee, including a 440-foot solo home run in the first inning off a sinker by Colorado starter Dakota Hudson.
