This week, a former member of the Humboldt Broncos gets an inside look at the National Hockey League (NHL) team.

Matthew Perkins received an invitation to join the Vancouver Canucks, which began Monday and ends Thursday.

Last season, Perkins played his first season at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. The 20-year-old player scored 15 points (6G-9A) in 35 games.

During the 2021-22 campaign, the Balgonie product had 59 points (23G-36A) in 57 games with the Broncos. He added four points (1G-3A) in 11 games during the playoffs.
