World No. 1 I’m going to Swiatek She recently named three tennis giants she would invite to a restaurant visit. Steffi Graf was her first name, followed by Maria Sharapova and her rival Serena WilliamsSwiatek is becoming a tennis legend and hopes to invite them for a nice dinner at a restaurant.

On Tuesday, the Polish champion began her Wimbledon adventure with a three-set victory over Sofia Kenin in the first round. Without much effort Swiatek won 6-3, 6-4 against her opponent. After the match there was the usual post-match conference in which she listed the three players she would invite.

For sure, Steffi Graf. I’d love to talk to her and meet her and share some experiences. Also, I think Maria Sharapova. We never really talked because she retired when I was still going up. And I feel like she made some good decisions off court in terms of her business and she handled everything well, so you can kind of take examples from her. And also Serena

This wasn’t the first time the Polish player mentioned the names she wanted to have dinner with. After her semifinal victory at the 2024 Indian Wells, Swiatek chose Steffi Graf as her ideal dinner companion and even gave a talking point to discuss with the WTA great. Swiatek expressed her desire to learn more about Graf’s mentality and way of dealing with the best player.

After a huge first-round win, Iga Swiatek kept fans interested by answering a few questions, including her epic restaurant invitation with tennis greats Steffi Graf and Serena Williams.

Then she was asked what inspired her in Steffi Graf and whether it was her forehand focus or discipline. It turned out that Swiatek got inspiration from her mentality, but her reasoning was rather funny because she had no points to compare the mentality.

Her mentality. It’s hard for me to compare styles because obviously, we’re playing in different eras of tennis. It’s hard to find the same things.

The Pole ace has now progressed to the second round of SW19 and will face Petra Martic for a place in the next round. Her draw will only get more interesting from here with champion players still in the mix.
