It’s one of the most famous legs in cinema history… but it doesn’t belong to the guy you think.

“Dallas” star Linda Gray has revealed she was Anne Bancroft’s “leg double” in the iconic “The Graduate” scene in which Dustin Hoffman stares at her stocking-clad leg.

Gray was a model before turning to acting, but later rose to fame playing Sue Ellen Ewing on the soap opera Texas.

The 72-year-old actress, who is currently reprising her role in the Dallas reboot, told talk show host Anderson Cooper: “I think Anne Bancroft was out that day… I don’t know. I got paid $25 for one leg.”

Patrick Duffy, who was also on “Anderson Live,” then added, “I’ll give you $50 for that step right now,” while Cooper added, “It’s worth a lot more than that.”

“The Graduate,” directed by Mike Nichols, was Hoffman’s breakout role, playing college graduate Ben Braddock who is smitten by Mrs. Robinson, played by Bancroft, the wife of his father’s business partner.

Ben later falls in love with his daughter Elaine, played by Katherine Ross.

Bancroft, who was married to director Mel Brooks for 40 years, died of uterine cancer in 2005 at the age of 73.
