One person was seriously injured and is in critical condition after a stabbing in downtown Boulder Wednesday morning

At 8:59 a.m., officers were called to the area between Broadway and Arapahoe after people saw a man with a knife and a pipe attacking another man under the bridge.

Within five minutes, police spotted the suspect cycling nearby, gave chase and safely arrested him near the Boulder Creek trail on 17th Street.

According to the press release, he was not injured.

The suspect has been identified as Joshua Allen Gregor, 38.

Gregor is charged with two counts of first-degree assault.

Detectives do not believe the men knew each other.
