NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Two troopers from the Louisiana State Police’s Troop NOLA were injured while making an arrest on Bourbon Street on Tuesday, July 2.

The LSP reported that officers identified a “suspicious person” while on patrol on Bourbon Street.


According to LSP officials, the unknown individual attempted to run away after making contact with officers but was later arrested.

During the arrest, LSP officials reported that one officer suffered a “serious neck injury” and another sustained minor injuries.

According to the LSP, the unknown suspect had narcotics in his possession at the time of his arrest.
