Wet Leg’s second album is “in the bag”.

The indie rock duo – comprised of Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers – only released their highly acclaimed self-titled debut studio album two months ago, but they’ve just confirmed that the follow-up is set to drop.

Speaking to Absolute Radio on Cinch Presents the Isle of Wight Festival, Hester said: “It’s in the bag.

“Bish bash bosh.”

Rhian said: “We’re done. It’s all done.”

The duo wouldn’t divulge what fans can expect and there’s no release date yet.

Rhian added: “We’ll have to wait and see.”

The duo ‘Chaise Longue’ are set to support Harry Styles on the Australian and New Zealand leg of his ‘Love On Tour’.

And they enthusiastically declared that they “loved” the Adore You singer.

The former One Direction star is also a fan of Wet Leg, having recently covered their song ‘Wet Dream’ on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge.

Wet Leg hit No. 1 with their self-titled LP in April, and were left speechless.

They reacted at the time: “So we found out today that our debut album has gone to number one in the UK charts!

“This has been such an unexpected journey for us hobbits, so to find our shmalbum at number 1 is amazing!! We are speechless and feel like we are wearing our mother’s high heels.

“A big thank you to everyone who bought, listened to or downloaded the album!! It’s thanks to you that we received this big trophy! A big thank you to anyone who can recommend the most practical use of this album.

The Isle of Wight duo joked: “I think I might start using this instead of a kettlebell. It’s also useful for holding documents in place in windy conditions.”
