PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA—An 18-year-old man was shot in the right leg Tuesday night in Philadelphia’s 26th District. The shooting happened around 11:29 p.m. on N Randolph Street.

Police responded to the scene and transported the victim to Temple Hospital, where he is currently in stable condition. The scene has been secured, but no weapon has been recovered and the motive for the shooting remains unclear.

No arrests have been made yet. The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Team is leading the ongoing investigation into the incident.

  • Maryland woman kills man who let his dogs onto family property

    BOYDS, MD – Detectives with the Montgomery County Police Department – ​​Major Crimes Division are investigating the death of Marvin Rolando Guevara Guevara, 40, in the 20200 block of Bucklodge Road.

    On Friday, June 14, 2024, at approximately 7:29 p.m., officers from the 5th District responded to a reported assault at the scene. Investigation revealed that a verbal argument occurred between Guevara Guevara and an adult female over her dogs running loose on her family’s property.

    The argument escalated, and the woman hit Guevara Guevara in the head.

    Guevara Guevara, a resident of Boyds, was transported to a local hospital, where he died on Sunday, June 30, 2024. His body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

    No charges have been announced at this time.

  • Delaware State Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Newark Walgreens

    NEWARK, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred this morning at a Walgreens on Pulaski Highway.

    On Tuesday, at approximately 8:07 a.m., officers responded to a call of an armed robbery at the Walgreens located at 2719 Pulaski Highway. Preliminary investigation revealed that a black male suspect, armed with a firearm, approached a Walgreens employee and demanded money from the safe. The employee complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

    The suspect is described as a black male wearing dark clothing. Surveillance images and video of the suspect are not available at this time.

    The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Delaware State Police.
