Residents of Newark and North Jersey are facing another day of extreme heat, with early morning temperatures reaching a humid and uncomfortable 81 degrees by 4:30 a.m. Ice creamThe National Weather Service has issued both a heat warning and an extreme heat advisory for much of New Jersey, indicating potentially dangerous conditions.

According to the weather forecast, today will be a mostly sunny day with a maximum temperature of around 33 degrees.

However, heat index values ​​can reach 101 degrees, making it feel much warmer. There is also a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 11:00 and 17:00, which can bring some temporary relief from the heat.

Tonight there is still a chance of rain and thunderstorms, with increasing cloudiness and a minimum temperature of around 24 degrees.

Residents are urged to stay cool and exercise caution, especially if working or participating in outdoor activities.
