Mathura (UP): Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani on Tuesday handed over the first invitation for his son Anant Ambani’s wedding at the foot of the Banke Bihari temple in Vrindavan.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant, will tie the knot on July 12.

Mukesh Ambani’s representatives presented this invitation card to the temple priests, Acharya Gopi Goswami and Shrinath Goswami, and showered their blessings on the bride and groom.

Goswami said they handed over the invitation for Anant Ambani’s wedding, sent by Mukesh Ambani, at the feet of Thakurji amid chanting of mantras.

He said the industrialist had sent the invitation for his son’s wedding to the ashram of Tatiya Sthan of the Swami Haridasiya sect in Vrindavan.

He said he would go to Mumbai along with his younger brother Shrinath Goswami to attend the wedding on behalf of Thakurji and give the Ambani family ‘prasad and angavastra’ as blessings from Thakurji.

The pre-wedding festivities began on March 1 in Jamnagar, 300 kilometres from Ahmedabad. This place is known for the world’s largest refinery, owned by Reliance Industries.
