Pizza Dough
Pizza is to meat what the soup pot is to vegetables, its a great way to use up the left over bits. Toppings are important, but the crust makes or breaks the whole thing.

Ingredients

  • (2 Cups) All Purpose Flour
  • (2 tsp) Quick Rise Yeast
  • (1/2 tsp) Salt
  • (1 Tbsp) Sugar
  • (2 Tbsp) Olive Oil
  • (1 Cup) Warm Water

Directions

Combine the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar in a medium sized mixing bowl and whisk together. Slowly drizzle the olive oil in while whisking.

2. Add 3/4 cup of the warm water and mix with a wooden spoon or spatula, adding more water as needed to form a shaggy dough. It should incorporate all the flour and little bits too dough in the bowl. Add more water as needed, a little at a time.

3. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Add more flour as needed, just enough to stop it from sticking.

4. Grease a medium bowl with olive oil and add the dough. cover with a plate or cloth and let sit until double in size, about 30-45 minutes.

5. Preheat oven to 400*F. Dust surface again with flour and roll out to about a 14" disc, or whatever your preference is. Grease a pizza pan with olive oil or dust with corn meal and transfer the crust to the pan. At this point you can poke the crust all over with a fork to stop big bubbles from forming while it bakes. Add your toppings and put in the oven until the crust is golden brown.
