Grilled Steak
Grass-fed and grilled. Striploin, ribeye, filet mignon, or sirloin steak are best. Flank and skirt are also excellent.

Ingredients

  • (1 per person) Grass-fed Steak
  • Salt and Pepper

Directions

1. Set your grill up for a hot "direct heat" cooking area and a cooler "indirect" area

For propane grill: Preheat one or two burners to high, leaving an outside one off

For charcoal: light charcoal and spread over half of the grilling area. Leave the cover off of the grill

2. Season the steak with salt and pepper, and once the grill is hot add the steak. Cook for 2-3 minutes, uncovered, watching for flames and moving the steaks if needed. A little flame makes for good flavour, but just a little. Flip and cook for 2-3 minutes longer. Move to the cool area of the grill and let sit for a few minutes with the lid on. If you like it rare take it off after a minute, if you like it a little less red leave it for another minute or two. Remove from heat, let rest for 5 minutes. Enjoy.
