How To Thaw Meat In 20 Minutes
Forgot to get something out for dinner? No problem. Use this tip from from a good customer. If you've got 20 minutes to spare before eating this is a surprisingly simple way to thaw a rib eye, strip loin, pork chops, sausage, or a pack of ground beef or pork. It really does work.
  • Prep Time:

Directions

1. Place your cut of meat on a baking sheet, cutting board, or on some paper towel.

2. Fill a pot large enough to cover your cut of meat with room temperature water. Its tempting to use warmer water, but there's no need. You're thawing, not cooking. Set the pot on the meat, wait 10 minutes. Flip the pack and wait 10 minutes more.

3. You're done. That's it. Go ahead and cook.

Tip: It works even better if you remove any butcher paper and place a layer of parchment paper between the meat and the pot.
