Pan Fried Steak
Simple, quick, and delicious. Stainless steel is my preferred pan of choice but some people swear by cast iron. Really, any pan will do.

Ingredients

  • (1 or 2) Ribeye, Filet Mignon, or Strip Loin
  • Butter
  • (1 tsp, coarsely chopped) Rosemary (optional)
  • Salt and Pepper

Directions

1. Preheat a stainless steel or cast iron pan over medium/medium-high heat. 

2. Sprinkle rosemary and pepper on each side of steak. Add butter to pan, enough to completely cover the cooking surface. Add salt, preferably coarse, directly to the pan and then add the steak. Cook for 5-7 minutes depending on how quickly they brown and how hot you pan is. Flip, adding a bit more salt, and cook for 5-7 minutes longer. remove to a plate and let rest for a few minutes longer. Enjoy.
